Happiness is...
Setting up on turkeys and using your buddies call to bring em in.
Last week was in the 80's all week and turkeys were all over the farm.
Opening day of Turkey season was Sunday and as bad as I felt I went. Had one Jake and 2 hens come in. Weather had changed awful and was in low 40's. No gobbling.
Yesterday was in the 30's and same thing. Not a peep from a turkey but had deer all over me.
This morning it was 30 degrees when I went in. Kidney stone still kicking my arse too! It's been just over a year since Arty and me went to fish/visit with Conine and Di. After he passed she made me a gift of all Niner's turkey calls. Even though I was not familiar with some of them I took one out this morning and hit a few notes. Within 5 minutes had this gobbler come in and dusted him. So of Course a "Niner pose" was in order and I held his call in my left hand for the picture. Attachment 6812
PS. A 12Ga. 3 and 1/2" Mag. and Kidney stones don't mix!

I'm sure Conine is loving this pic and the effort you put into it.
Way to go!

Well that just might be the best post of 2016. Not even sure a guy can compete with that or would even want to.

A turkey calls a turkey with a turkey call ... then said turkey carries turkey and turkey call away for turkey photo. ;)
Nice post!

Good job, Cap....I shoulda had two pics just like that from my Bama hunt....lightning, pouring rain, and turkey hunting just don't go well together.
Next year, go ahead and find me a bale of hay to bed down in your barn 'cause I WILL come turkey hunting with you!!!! ;)
