Could use some prayers
My youngest son has tests tomorrow here at Mayo Clinic prior to Thursday surgery to remove a tumor from inside of his femur bone that we have been watching for the past three years. Any kind words or prayers to The Big Guy would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I'll cover Florida for you. I sent a copy of your post to a preacher friend of mine. He said his prayer group will all be praying for you and your family..

Just checked in bwana, and I'll have one on the way from the hills pronto.
Hope the young man comes through with flying colors.

My Mississippi's prayers headed your way, too !!!

Thanks all, it means way more than you know.
Though we have been here since 10:30, he is still waiting to go in as there is another poor gent in line before him who is scheduled for 16 hours of surgery today. Certain he could use prayers too.
I’ll keep you posted.

They didn't take him down until 4:00 PM and surgery started at about 6:30...they just moved him into recovery but that is all we know at this time...except that this has been a long day.
More to follow when I have something to report.

Sounds like a long tiresome day. hang in there, John.

8" incision in the side of his leg, a "window" cut into his femur to remove a 3" long tumor from inside of the bone, and then filled with a crystalline calcium substance that the body is supposed to convert to bone. They seem to have gotten a fair handle on the pain issue for now with a nerve block and meds. He has been up walking a few times already with a limitation on the weight he can put on that leg.
Other than last night after the surgery, we have yet to talk to the doctor but it is sounding like he MIGHT be turned loose tomorrow. Even if he does we will likely stick around an extra day just to be on the safe side. Not sure how long it will take to find out whether or not the tumor was benign.
That's all I know at this time.

We're pulling for all of you Bwana. Thanks for the update. Sounds positive so far. :thumbsup
