Cool event
Every year the lake where I keep my boat has a seaplane fly-in at the Inn at the state park. They usually get 20-30 seaplanes depending on the weather. There are everything from Cessnas with floats to de Havilland Otters. This year they have a special guest, a Grumman HU-16.

That is the State park inn in the background. I always take the kids out in the boat to watch them take off and land. They really enjoy the fact that the planes get close enough to you while they are taxiing back and forth to shore that they can wave to the pilots.

Not positive, but I think that's the sea plane that Jimmy Buffett used to fly around the Caribbean.

I've flown on a float plane before, but it was one of the smaller ones. I'd love to ride in one of the big ones.
