Gone Fishin’
14 years ago in April I lost my Dad. My longtime good friend and fishing buddy came and got me and took my ass fishing to get me out of the house a couple weeks later on May 7. I caught a 10.2# largemouth that day. We gone fishing just about year since on May 7. For me it isn’t about the fish, but its what fishing and friendship is all about. (Although we did name the fish Matilda) Today, I’m needing to get out for a similar reason, and guess whose boat I’m fishing out of today?
Birddog is a pretty good fishing buddy, as long as don’t have to look at him to much. Which is why I sit in front.
Tight lines, amigos!

There’s barely room for me and my scantling stuff after we get all of Borddog’s shit in the boat.

But he usually outfishes me but what the hey. A great time on the water and brought home a mess of fresh fish for the table tonight.
A great day!

A picture of Birddog does not constitute a trip report, details man details.

Fishing can definitely be therapeutic. Glad you got out.

you've inspired me posthole, I think Mrs Q and me will take out the fry rods out and hit a pond this evening. With a little luck, maybe I'll have bluegill for lunch tomorrow

One of the rare occasions that I didn't take a flyrod. I've got a wedding to attend this afternoon and I didn't want to have a bunch to clean.
missed that call didn't I?
