We ate at one Sunday. My wife's said "Hallelujah". That was all.
This was on TV the other day, I forget where. Most fortune cookies are made by a Japanese-American in San Fran.
A company in Georgia (owned by a Korean-American) makes a major portion of chopsticks and even exports them to China!
I read somewhere that Tysons exports a brazillian chicken feet a year to China. That's a lot of damn chicken feet. I have no idea what for. There's plenty of good protein just north of there. why don't they import that?

I love you Jim.
Yeah, me too, Jim. But me and Bubba ain't secret.
Just my luck! :(
Barry-Bob, believe it or not, chicken feet is one of my regular orders when having Chinese.

Next time you're having them, think of all the chicken poop that got squeezed up between those toes.
You're welcome.

Added protein. :D
Chicken shot?
Izzat anything like buck shot? Or more like bird shot? :D
I can verify the export thing. A kid (okay he's about 28 now), works for Tyson in Ft. Wayne. He studies how much feed vs the weight of the chickens at butcher time. He suggests diet alterations to maximize chicken size. .... he mentioned that we export feet, combs(rosters), etc that a typical American wouldn't touch...
Now that will get us about even in the Sino-American trade deficit huh????
Wonder what they do with the combs?

boil them til the turn to geletin. Then dunk 'em in some sauce, eat them up!
Sounds yummy.

I've actually eaten them battered and fried, but the guy who cooked them was Indonesian. I've also had them in soup. You can buy them locally at the Asian market here.

And the feathers? Are they grilled or boiled?
They go into pillows. ;)
I hear they make chinese lifesavers out of the buttholes.

Hmmm, I'm thinkin' here .... that may be one of the VERY FEW things I haven't had at one time or another. ;)
And how do you then cook the pillows?
If you've eaten a hot dog, you've eaten worse...
Excellent point CD! I've toured a packing house before ... the ol' hot dog vat could gross out a buzzard!
I'm partial to the nose and lips myself. ;)
Now y'all are just getting plain old gross.
