I'll be ordering the flowers for Cappy's funeral tomorrow. Cheri suggested this option and I like it as there is a bit of blue in it to represent his law enforcement ties. I'm not sure if anyone else would pick up on that, but the symbolism will be there. I'll be including a banner, but am limited to 20 spaces. Anybody?

Bottom line is that as long as Cheryl knows who it’s from it truly doesn’t matter.
She ain’t gonna see the card til later. And may not even ever see the flowers to be perfectly honest.
I hate to be a downer but I just went through a funeral with nearly 100 baskets, same setup with a small visitation prior to funeral. My mother in law had someone gather cards so she could write thank you notes. No way she could have looked at each arrangement. Flowers were donated to the church. She has no clue of who sent what, she just knows someone sent SOMETHING. As long as she knows it’s from “us”, I think we’re good.

CD, we're covered as the GH account stands right now. Let's hold off and let the dust settle a bit, then I'll see if we need a small fund drive to replenish the account. I don't even know how the site account will be maintained right now. I paid the domain renewal in June, so we're good for a while. The old agreement with Gary Carty (Archer) was that he turned the domain over to Larke, but if he ever decided he no longer wanted it, Larke promised to turn it back over to Gary. I haven't discussed any of this with Gary yet, but will once we have the present situation behind us. I also have no clue who has the passwords etc. to even negotiate the transfer process or what is even involved.
I'll try to pick up the pieces, talk to Gary and come up with a plan and what procedures we need to work out for a transfer of ownership as well as payment method (Larke had it set up for automatic payment on his credit card and I'd reimburse him from the account). Now, I do know, he paid the domain fees out of pocket, because being the straight-shooter Larke was, he didn't believe "we" should pay for what he "owns". I would reimburse the administrative fees for Go-Daddy and any other random expenses we ran across to maintain the site ... like our software upgrade, straightening out virus or spam attacks, etc. Truthfully, it's been a LONG time since we've had any serious issues. What concerns me is, if we DO have a major problem, I'm not sure who can straighten it out. Gary is a tech genius with stuff like this, but he's been absent from the site for years now and really doesn't participate any more. Whether that will change with the domain transfer (IF he even wants it any more), I don't have an answer .... yet. Previously, serious problems were handled by teamwork ... Gary (AWOL), Nandy (AWOL), Co9 (gone) and Len (a worthless dufus these days). So, truthfully, the waters are pretty muddy right now, but we have plenty of time to work it out ... as long as we don't have a catastrophic issue or site crash, etc.
I'll be away from the house much of today and will be ordering the arrangement this evening. I need an official tally on what we want on the banner. CD says "he likes it", but I'm just assuming he's referring to my suggestion. If so, it appears to me that EOW or 10-42 are the strongest runners so far. I'll go with the majority and get 'er done. I just need a vote count. I know we have a vote counter (survey type thing) we can set up here, but I'm running late for an appointment and don't have time to set it up. I can try this afternoon, but someone here should be able to do it. I believe it's available to all members to use.

My opinion, just keep it simple. Cheryl's gonna have enough "EOW, we'll take it from here" type stuff as it is. I expect the law enforcement element to his service will be immense. We were his outdoors friends, not his LEO people.
I'd go with something like "Sent with love and support to the Plyler Family from the Goodhunting Crew"
For the other stuff about the site, DNS registry, software, etc., we should start another thread.
There’s two things we are asking everyone’s opinion.
1 We are going to add a banner to the flower spray.
You Can only use 20 letters on that banner.
2. Once we get that figured out, it takes us to an area we can add a message card.
We can use 150 letters, which is where we’d write to the family!!!!
Right now Thump is trying to get everyone to be happy with what to put on the banner!!

Well, you guys make the final decision as clear as mud. I'm making an executive decision and going with the E.O.W. - Goodhunting suggestion. I like it ... and since I control the bank account .... that's all that matters. ;)
I'll be placing the order shortly .... I just have to wash my face first as every time I get involved with this subject, I seem to get all teary-eyed. I don't mind admitting, this thing has hit me pretty hard. Cappy was ... not one of ... but THE finest individual I've ever known in my "almost" 69 years of living .... and that is the 100% truth. I miss him terribly. :(
