    Grandson strikes.....AGAIN !!!......

I missed being a part of this kill for him....my son took him hunting, this morning, since wifey and I were at the lakehouse, cleaning up after all the kinfolks had left, after Christmas.

This is a big-bodied mofo, with good mass, 19.5 inch spread, and even a broken drop-tine on his right antler....this one is going on the wall, even if I have to float a bank loan!!!

The kid is tough, and a dedicated hunter, for sure....he and his Dad sat, freezing in 20 degree coldness, this morning....none of us have even had a glimpse of this buck....just shows ya how well they can hide, when they want to.

I told him to stop shooting these old tough bucks, and to kill me a fat tender doe for the freezer....he didn't cotton too much to that idea.

Not even close. I figger from the pictures here it's either in Montana or Western Mississippi.

The palmetto leaves make me think "Florida." I know it definitely isn't up this way.

Palmettos cover every square inch of my farm....I love 'em, and the wildlife loves 'em, too....no food value, but VERY good cover for hiding places.
