    Pigs

Captain has been doing his part. But until the mother frackers who turn these damned things loose stop doing it, it'll be like cockroaches in a Florida kitchen when you turn a light on.

I'm glad my state is spending some money on trying to put a dent in the population. A friend of mine and Travis told me a few years ago that hogs would come right into where he fed cattle.

    Its getting redongculous.

I'm really torn on this one as I would dearly love to shoot me some hogs. But, I'll take your word for it. I do find it odd that, for the most part, they just aren't around much in VA.

Of that I have no doubt. I've hear there are a few not too far from here. (Near Culpepper and I have no doubt someone released them.) But, otherwise they're limited to the Great Dismal Swamp. It's just weird to me as they seem to be prevalent in NC, TN, and KY. Not sure about WVa.

I don't know about those states either. I know some of the people here that released them had hopes of making money off of guided hunts for them. It apparently is a big deal in Texas to go shoot a 'wild' boar.

They are a menace in feral form.

I have to admit hunting wild pigs in Texas is some of the most fun I've ever had hunting. However, after seeing first hand the damage they do to a cultivated field overnight, I don't want those things anywhere near Montana!!! It literally looked like a bomb had gone off in the field. They don't just eat the crops they destroy the land. Kind'a like the pig equivalent of a liberal democrat protester, but I repeat myself.

The amazing thing is how quick an escaped farm hog will go feral.

We had over a hundred turned loose here. Took us over 5 years - but we eradicated them.. You give these boys around here something to shoot and carte blanche to do it... jump back.
If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.
