    Cicadas

I haven't heard anythng to indicate we're having anything but a normal cicada hatch but they are so loud right now I can hear them driving through the neighborhood with the windows up.
    That's loud.
    Summertime in Oklahoma I guess.

Oh yeah, high of 79 today. In Oklahoma. In August.

    Right.

I bet you could walk your neighborhood with a good pair of binoculars and see a bunch of them.

    They aren't lost .... they're right next to Bucky's needle-nose pliers.

He would get sidetracked at some neighbor lady and hang them on a tree limb and forget which limb he hung them on.

We had some weird early/late hatch if the 17 year this year. There was a bunch of them for about two week and then "poof" they were gone over night.

Even though I've had to cut the grass every week still, which is rare around here in August, it's been incredibly cool, low humidity and plenty of rain. We've actually had the windows open for about half the days this month.

Can't help you with the binoculars. The last time I saw them they were in Larke's truck. He said something about collateral on a bet.
