I know Purdue is playing better this year, but how bad is Mizzoura?

Mizzoorah is finding out the same thing Arkansas found out a long time ago. To be in the SEC and to compete for players with the SEC in theor geographic location is two entirely different matters.
Besides, since they fancy themselves to be among the elites they probbly belong in the Big Ten with Bernaski. Then they can at least be in the basement amongst friends.

The Fighting Illini vs USF is coming on. Lovie Smith, who I have to admit I have a lot of admiration for (he played at Tulsa and later coached there) vs the guy Texas should've stuck with at USF (Charlie Strong).

I'm pulling for the underdogs, but I'm afraid they won't have much of a chance against USF. USF dropped football back in the 70's and it was resurrected with a lot of help in the late 90's from none other than the Okie HOFer Lee Roy Selmon. So I kind of have a soft spot for them too.

I'm not sure I can watch a game and be neutral! Go Illini!

Thanks, we'll need all the help we can get.....I think we're already fokked, however.....Finnebaum and Herbstreit, both picked us for the upset, even though the line has us 7.5 pt. underdogs.

As an aside, those Ragin' Cajuns are giving TAM, all they want, right now.

Also, does anybody know something about the snowflakes from Calif/Berkley that I don't know???....other than beating NC and Weber St., why the heck are they only 4.5 pt. underdogs to that buncha ole piss pricks???.....don't get me wrong, I hope they beat ole piss by a hunnert pts., but it ain't gonna happen.....if I was a bettin' man, I'd put a couple hunnert bucks on it.
When I hear the name "Calif./Berkley" mentioned, this is what crosses my mind:

Your Purdue pick is looking good so far. Up 28-0 with a minute left in the first half.

My apologies to Cal/Berkley.....I have gained the utmost respect for them.....those kids were out-weighed, out-numbered, and out-talented by ole pizz.....yet, they laid it all on the line, and won 27-16 over ole pizz.....they just were not gonna be denied, and I admire them for that.

Corso was right about Vandy beating K State.

But to me, the surprise of the day was USC - Texas. I've got news: Texas ain't very good. USC got by with PI all night long, and held like they were in love, Texas had theor freshman QB in there, and they are as slow as Christmas. My God they looked like they were running slow developing plays designed by my high school coach. And it still went to two ots.

Either Texas is a lot better than advertised or USC really really sucks.
it was honestly like they both lost. The best of both worlds!

Preliminary rankings this morning moved my Dawgs up to #10.....personally, I think that is an over-estimation, but it'll give the boys something to brag about for a week or two.

Anyone happen to see the camera panned and zoomed in on the Cal/Berk. student in the stands, last night????.....he exhaled a big puff of smoke, just as the camera caught him.....couldn't tell if he had a bong in his hands, or something else, but he looked like a day'um fogging machine.
