    Go Fish!

So far the success with fall brown trout fishing is going very well. I enjoy catching these hard fighting fish more than any other trout. They have attitude, they are aggressive, and they really test one's fishing tackle and patience. Love catching them though...and beats the heck out of being stuck in a classroom all day.

    Stocky full shouldered brown.

Brilliant colors. Seeing these fish like this just never gets old!

Just another really nice solid representative brown.

This is why I keep going back. One never knows when a brown trout 2 feet or longer might hit and make your dreams come true. This fish is as big as it looks.

Troy, has your newfound love (obsession?) for trout fishing led to any changes in your inspirations for art?

We haven’t seen any new art in a long time. Come on, man. Give it up!

Being an economy class noticer I did notice that none of them fish had full shoulders, thin shoulders or any shoulders at all as far as I could tell. Am I missing something?

This is more of a doodle while sitting at my desk rather than a finished drawing. I do this most days just to keep my drawing skills sharp.

Ya' know ... I guess I never really thought about it before, as I've never been trout fishing, but after looking at that last big brownie, I guess I never realized they even got that big. That's a nice fish right there!

Love seeing those pics. I look at the scenery in background more than the fish!

To spare the suffering... Anyway here is a place I was fishing a couple weeks ago. It was my first time at the lake and I truly hope it is not my last time. It was such a gorgeous place!

I caught a lot of rainbows like this one.

The goal however, was to catch a monster male brooke trout. I ended up only catching one brookie, but it was a female. However this 18" female is definitely the biggest female brookie I have ever caught. Hopefully next year I will catch one of her big boy friends. I do have to say the colors on these fish are something out of this world to behold in person.
