Their are 180 acre of woods we have exclusive access to, it touches a few thousands acres of Nation Park Land on two sides.
Very mature hardwoods, beech, maple, pine, very hilly with deep draws, not a lot of ground cover but you can see for 100;s of yards through it.
It contains the only water in the area and is a travel corridor for the deer.
Decent population with a good-un ever now and them. It's right in the middle or our DMQ so any buck needs to have at least 3 points per side, with your second tag good for a min. 8 pt.
Because it's private land we get a land owners permit for does, #1 & 2 have these.
Opening day is on the 15th, we'll see what happens
What new this year is a big black bear showing up on our trail cam, we have lots of yotes, but this is the first year ever for a bear.
