    First picture of 2017

Fall starts this week, just a hint of color starting, we've had a cool wet summer, will be interesting to see what happens.
    002.JPG
Last few days temps have been 90+, not much of start for fall. Little change in a week
    week 2, 9-2517.jpg
Color is very late this year, usually this time in Oct. we're close to peak , still looks to be a week away
    10-9-17.jpg
Temps are dropping, low 40's this morning, color is starting to finally show up.
    10-16-17b.jpg
A big change in one week, look for the peak next week.
    10-22-17.jpg
It's mostly gone. Last week we had 4 days of rains (5.5") and heavy winds. Did not do the autumn colors a favor.
This AM awoke to see this, so for the next 5 months we go from Technicolor to 50 shade of gray

The older I get, the better I was. I also forget my password and have to have Len reset it for me

Cool and wet usually means good color. I'm looking forward to the weekly updates!

I look forward to JB's thread ever year.
It amazes me how much further along they are than the South.
We still having 90 degree days here.

Glad to see another Michigander here, we're overrun by all those Southern hillbillies.

We've been really warm here too. Not much color at all. In fact we spent the weekend on the lake for my daughter's birthday tubing and running the jet skis.

Around here some of the trees have already lost their leaves, but still lots of color in those remaining.

Bite me! I'd have put an arrow through a "now" in a minute if it would have gotten me out of that heat and humidity...

Well, in a way, it would have if you were Thai. The Thai word for "cold" in English is "hnaw". (pronounced "NOW")
