    Heading Home! [Warning-graphic pics]

The boy is getting sprung sometime this morning!

Still no word on the pathology report and probably won't until Monday but everything else is looking good so he will be discharged later this morning. Given we have to stop and do a bit of walking every hour or so, it is going to be a long trip home since it is an eight hour trip normally.

Though he is leaving the tumor here, he gets to take home some extra goodies instead. I'm thinking it was a fair trade.

Again, thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers, they mean more than you can imagine.

Home is the best place for healing! Glad to hear he’s headed that way.

Did they give you a date to expect the pathology report?

Drive safe on your way home.

Tell him chicks dig scars and he needs to start working on a good tale about how he got that zipper on his leg.

Keep us posted. Good news so far. And it always seems like you heal better at home.

Made it home this afternoon at about 2 PM. As the saying goes, "There's no place like home."

The pain seems to be a bit less today which is good news as the boy tends to be like his old man when he is hurting...not pleasant to be around.

No idea when the pathology report will come in but rest assured, we continue to pray for good news.

Thanks again to all here, your prayers have definitely helped!

Yeah it wasn’t the straightest line.

Wow!!’ That’s a lot of staples and stitches for him and what Trav
    had!!!!
    Hope everything goes well

I agree, your son needs to come up with a great story for the scar that’s going to leave.

Glad to hear he's doing ok in recovery. Guess it's the full body scan at the airport for him from now on!
