Lynn and I don't get too excited for Christmas. Both of our families are scattered all over the U.S. and we have no kiddies to deal with, so it's just another day to us. We normally go to our best friend's place to spend Christmas Day and have a great dinner, but we've informed them we won't make it this year. I also play Santa at another friend's house in Tampa as they always have a big Christmas Eve party there with about 10,000 kids running around. We gave them notice a while back that they'd have to find a substitute Santa this year as we'll be out of town. (bummer, they always give me a $100 gift card for my efforts)
Lynn and I have decided to head to the beach for the weekend and do nothing but relax, eat at some new restaurants and basically do whatever the "F" we feel like doing ... even if it's just to sit and look out over the water. Besides, it's gonna be 81-82 degrees here for the next few days and it's a perfect 78 at the beach (I hope it doesn't snow!)We're not going far, just a quick trip down to Sarasota for a few days.
So, again, youse dufes have a great holiday, or as they say in Thailand, "Melly Clissmas!" We'll be back home sometime Christmas night!
