Have a great Christmas you bunch'a deplorables!

Lynn and I don't get too excited for Christmas. Both of our families are scattered all over the U.S. and we have no kiddies to deal with, so it's just another day to us. We normally go to our best friend's place to spend Christmas Day and have a great dinner, but we've informed them we won't make it this year. I also play Santa at another friend's house in Tampa as they always have a big Christmas Eve party there with about 10,000 kids running around. We gave them notice a while back that they'd have to find a substitute Santa this year as we'll be out of town. (bummer, they always give me a $100 gift card for my efforts)

Lynn and I have decided to head to the beach for the weekend and do nothing but relax, eat at some new restaurants and basically do whatever the "F" we feel like doing ... even if it's just to sit and look out over the water. Besides, it's gonna be 81-82 degrees here for the next few days and it's a perfect 78 at the beach (I hope it doesn't snow!) We're not going far, just a quick trip down to Sarasota for a few days.

So, again, youse dufes have a great holiday, or as they say in Thailand, "Melly Clissmas!" We'll be back home sometime Christmas night!

Christmas would just not seem right without snow, never heard old Bing sing "I'm dreaming of a sunshine Christmas"
As of today we've had 25 1/2 " of snow this month with snow forecast for just about everyday till New Years.
Christmas morning should be around 14 degrees and we'll have all the boys and their families over after they open Santa's gifts at their house. 15 all together, with 7 under the age of 14. Makes for a lot of noise and excitement, best day of the year.
Kay is right now wrapping a bizzilion gifts then start making a ham/turkey dinner to boot.
So where every you are going to spend this special day, enjoy it and thank the man for giving you all those blessings you have !!
    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all of you!

We host my wife’s extended family on Christmas Eve, so it’s been a busy week getting everything ready for that. We usually have close to 50 people for that.

The kids have been on break since Wednesday and my wife’s school went through yesterday. I’m on vacation until after the first of the year so it will be nice to have some relaxing time with the family.

This is the scene we woke to this morning. Its 27 but the ground temp is above freezing so this won’t last until Christmas but it was like a picture post card this morning.
