    Don't forget your plug.

Slow fishing today but that is often the case in January here. Water temp was 40 and the few fish we turned were bass and they were all pale white like they’d been sulking on bottom.

It was still a great day on the water. Birddog and I took my jon boat to a coal pit we call the “Y”. Temp started out about 9:00 at 40 but got to 67 and we had a bluebird sky. The only issue weatherwise was the wind blew about 20 all day. Now I know why Keith wanted to take my boat. Not too many Crazy Ivans though!

Lots of raptors, a lot of them hunting and getting ready to nest if they haven’t already. I can’t believe we saw a couple of turtles at that temp.

A good day to be outside. A bad day fishing beats a good day working as they say.
