Lots of political names for what is in effect reasonable immigration practices. About 80% of ‘chain migration’ are spouses, just fyi. And ‘anchor babies’ are guaranteed citizenship by the 14th amendment to the Constitution. But I know Donald gives two fucks for the constitution.

And QA, I don’t know what the right number is. I don’t think we need to lead the world in immigrants though to reach our immigration goals. So if I were king for a day my immigration policy would be a bit more conservative on the overall number but I really don’t see anything wrong with our current formula for who gets in and who doesn’t.
A ‘Nation of Origin’ formula was in use until the 50’s because they didn’t want all those Germans and Irish.
