I guess that depends one what like. I’d say of the three, the D28 might cover the most bases. There’s things I like better with the D18 too.
If I buy another, it might be a O28.

Love my HD28 but if I got another one I’d go D18.

You can’t beat the thunder of the 28

Len, you think HD28 over D28?. Still leaning towards D18 but just wondering.

I’ve never held or played a D35. Is it a signature model? I think old Johnny Cash played a big old d35.

Let us know what you get. Taylors are also worth a look for that same price range. They are pretty sweet. I looked at them real close when I bought my last d28. But to me they don’t have a big enough bottom end like a Martin.

I will let you know. I've looked at Taylor's I've played a Gibson Hummingbird, the problem with those is, they're not a Martin

There's a little bit of difference with the HD28 over the D28 but it's pretty subtle. It resonates a little bit longer but honestly, how often do we hold an acoustic note or chord and let it ring for as long as possible.

    I'd be all over a D28 for $1,800.

    I'm starting a gofundme page so I can get a D45.

OK, just played a new D18 and I am saving a bunch of money. I already have a DX Martin dred and I swear mine sounds every bit as good as that D18. Will still look for a 28 to try but for now I'll stay with the $600 Martin.

The only diff in the HD amd the D is the HD has herringbone trim.

The trim is different, and purty... the bracing inside the HD28 is shaped (scalloped) differently and allows more low frequency out of the sound hole and makes it a little louder overall.

Pretty sure the 2017 D28 has the same scallopped forward shifted braces. Like to be able to do side by side comparisons but don't know that I'll ever get the chance.

I played 'em side by side in my local store. It's different but not tremendously so. I'd be happy with either. They made me a deal on the HD so I went that way. Mine only sounds better than BBP's because I'm playing it. Wait, what?!?!?!
