As far as upsets go, I’d keep an eye on Iowa State amd K State. Iowa State loves to play the spoiler and they are at home.

K State just simply loves to play underdog at home. This is a Bill Snyder Special. I think
I’ll pick them to at least cover the spread if not an outright win.
Neither team’s opener means much IMO. Snyder is tricksey. Watch you knees Bulldogs! They love to cut block and hit late.

Sorry Muddy. Gotta root for the conference even if I can’t stand the team.

Yep, I been telling all my buddies that Snyder might be an old guy(78 y/o), but he's a sneaky old guy.....he's got two tenures at K State, totaling 26 years.....he's a sly silver fox, for sure.....we could get upset, but he's dang sure gonna get a bloody nose from us.....gonna be a close low-scoring game.....we're a 9.5 pt. favorite, which doesn't mean sheeit, this early in the season.

I thought about the cyclone hawkeye game but I'm not sure the line will be high enough to call it an upset. I don't think Snyder has the dogs to run with miss st this year.

    But what do I know

QA, we DO have some mean Dogs, this year.....it's just a matter of Moorhead, getting them highly motivated for the game.....and, not feed them too much before the game .....gotta keep these Dogs hungry !!!

I had to sit through a K State ambsh of the Sooners one time in 20 degree weather at Arrowhead in KC. They had a little known running back named Darren Sproles.

Man that was a long, cold game. Trav was there too. The only time it was advantageous to sit downwind from him.

Snyder's MO is keep it really close low scoring with ballcontrol, then win last minute. If MS gets down hill it'll be a blowout,

USC - Stanford should be interesting.

I'm also interested in the matchup between Loser #1 Penn State and Loser #2 Pitt. I truly am interested to see if Pat Narduzzi will make any progress with that trifling bunch in Pittsburgh.

The sports media must have their nose up Orgeron's butt.....last week, the bayou bungholes were in the #25 spot.....they beat a very over-rated lack-luster #8 Miami team, and soared to the #11 spot.....if Brosette gets injured, they're screwed.....that boy is a beast at running back !!!

And, since I'm bashing SEC teams, I think Auburn is over-rated, as well.....I bet Thump could catch passes against their secondary.

Not too much to get excited about this weekend. Other the in-state rivalry games, Clemson/A&M could be a good one.

We were at the Sooner game in Norman today. No surprises. The Sooners looked great in all phases today.

No surprise here, hogs lose to Colorado st. I don't know why people thought you could take a coach who was 14-22 in the AAC and win in the SEC. Norvell of Memphis I think was the better choice

NC State and Va Tech both did what the should have against lesser opponents. They’ll both have stiffer competition next week.

Is Kentucky for real? They beat Florida for the first time in 31 tries.

Damn, I watched a little bit of that game in the 3rd quarter and changed to another be Use it looked like Arkansas had that game in hand. Finishing issues are a sign of a young team usually. What i saw of Arkansas looked impressive, especially at qb and reveiver. Keep the faith, QA! CSU is a trap game for a lot of teams. Just ask CU.

Posthole, we passed on Mike Norvell, Lane Kiffen and Mike leach to take a glorified high school coach. It ain't gonna get any better, the powers that be don't want to win

Leach at Arkansas would have been fun to watch from over here across the border. I am a Leach fan but y’all are a sensitive bunch over there.

I thought they’d passed on Fuentes once too, when he left Memphis. Maybe not. They might have still been in the thrall of Bulemia.

Good Lord, what a bunch of dickheads !!!.....you'd think Ole Piss had won the Sugar Bowl.....they're bragging all over the news outlets down here about the 76 points they scored on Southern Illinois, last Saturday.

What they DON'T mention is the 41 points that Southern Illinois scored against them !!!

    Week two thoughts

    1) Ole miss won't score 70+ points this week. Alabama might if they piss Saban off

    2) Scott Frost isn't the 2nd coming of Tom Osbourne. A definite upgrade but the Big 10 is pretty salty.

    3) Either Kentucky is under rated or Florida is overrated. I vote for Florida. By the end of the season, somebody might wish the had stayed in Starkvegas

    4) Hawaii has a pretty good team

    5) Tom Herman is Da Man! At least that's the rumor going around the strip clubs

    6) Sooners lose their top running back. No sweat, as long as Sklyer Murray stays healthy.

    7) Coaches on the hot seat is going to have to expand their list and make room for Willie Taggart and Posty's boy Cliffie

    8) Arkansas is a trainwreck. Fans are already calling for Beliema to come back.

    9) Georgia is the real deal. They're gonna go thru the SEC east like Sherman went thru Georgia. Ironic

    10) As bad as I hate it, Jimbo and the Faggies are gonna be scary good. Or maybe Clempson is overrated. If there's and justice in the world Bama, LSU and Auburn will beat them

Bonus. Upset specials doing well so far

I’m liking college football coverage here the best of anywhere QA!

It’s hard to tell much of anything about these teams this early.

    Some thoughts of my own.

You don’t understand Bernaski fans. They have literally been in mourning since the Bill Callahan and Pederson days when they were in some serious doldrums. They had to bring Dr Tom back to restore order and Bo Pelini got their hopes way high. They’ve gone through athletic directors and coaches like a dose of salts goes through a widow woman. Dave Rimington is now their interim AD. He’s a former great Bugeater player and Scott Frost is their coach, another good old Nebraska Cornholer player. And both are CLEAN. Nebraska has awesome fans and their hearts have been broken. I don’t think their fans think the Big Ten was an upgrade. I was glad to see a former Big Eight team kick their ass in their opener.

Kind of like a brother punching you in the gut.

QA, you lost me at Bama beating anybody and there being “justice” involved. About the only team in the country I’d root for the Tide against is Notre Dame.

Lots of match ups I’m interested in this coming week, but they may all get stormed out by Aunt Flo...
