I just saw a forecast for SW Virginia for 20”+ if rain and catastrophic flooding. This thing could sit over the VA and NC mountains for 3-4 days.
We already got almost 6” this weekend and don’t need any more right now.

Consensus is landfall at Wilmington then hover between Raleigh and Charlotte. Wilmington is close enough for us here in Virginia Beach to feel it.
Went to Home Depot this morning for some furniture stain, and a sign on the door already indicated no more generators.
Wife went to harris teeter, no water. No bread. Damn thing is still 4 days away!
Luckily we don’t any of the above. I installed a generator last year that powers everything except the air conditioner ( does power furnace), and the pool pump.
We do have a portable AC that will cool 2 rooms if shit hit the fan. I’d just have to get it from the attic.
Long as the airport is operational this Friday at 8:40pm, I don’t care.
Me and the Mrs are flying to Vegas for the weekend.
I have a pot of chili, beer in the fridge, corn squeezins and 8 guitars. I think I'm all set.
