    CFB week 8

    1) Ohio st vs Purdue the Boilermakers are kinda inconsistant. I can see them keeping this close in the beginning but THE OHIO ST pulling away late.

2)North Carolina St @ Clempson the Pack has had a very unusual season, well really the whole ACC has, so I really don't have any kind of read on them. I'll say Clempson by at least 10

    3) Mississippi st @ LSU I really want to call for an upset here buuuuuttt, Heck, I will. Upset special, LSU falls in Death Valley

    4) Michigan @ Michigan st Khaki boy keeps em rolling

    5) Oklahoma @ TCU Stoops is gone but the Sooner D is still the Sooner D. TCU holds serve in an upset

    6) Oregon @ Washington st Leach should be coaching a 4 win Arkansas right now. Close but not close enough. Ducks in a tight one (cue Jimbo here)

    7) Colorado @ Washington Is there any hope for the Pac 10/12? Does anybody care? Huskies win

    8) Minnesota @ Nebraska Frost gets his first win and has to throw himself under the bus

    9) Memphis @ Missouri I think the Tigers win a close one

    10) Houston @ Navy Houston sits ten defensive players and Ed Oliver shuts down the Navy offense by himself. Houston Large

    11) Auburn @ Ole Miss The Gus Bus gets back on track against an atrocious Rebel/Black Bear/land shark defense.

    12) Virginia @ Duke Down at halftime, Coach K makes an emergency pep talk to the refs. Duke hits 8 straight 3's to start the 2nd half and holds off a late charge by the Cav's with the help of a questionable charging call and subsequent technical on Virginia's coach

Bonus. Houston Nutt charges out of the stands late in the 4th quarter, wrestles Chad Morris to the ground and calls a smoke draw that loses 4 yds. Unfortunately it was also 4th down at the Tulsa 1. Tulsa wins 37 to 31

I’d like to think both Miss State and NC State are capable of upsets this weekend. I just don’t think either one will on the road against LSU and Clemson. Both NC State and Clemson are coming off bye weeks and, absent Bradley Chubb sneaking back onto the field for us, complacency after the bye is our only real hope.

Virginia will beat Duke. Coach C is no Coach K. You heard it here first.

We may have lost another starting running back though. Still early and they aren’t talking but it didn’t look good.

Eddie, I don't know what that Yankee did to y'alls offensive but it sucks. Y'all probably won't score more than 60-65 against the hogs

If I win this week's billion dollar lotto, the first thing I'll do is buy out that yankee's football contract, and a first-class plane ticket back north.....and next, I'd buy Fitzgerald a heated seat on the bench, and play Keytaon Thompson at qb, for the rest of the season.....Fitzgerald's 5 day'um interceptions is totally unacceptable!!!

Correction, he only threw 4 interceptions.....the 5th one was negated by a targeting call, delivered to Fitzgerald's noggin.

I didn’t expect a game like that. This story makes this victory all the sweeter.

    Week 8 recap

    1) Mere words cannot express how badly I hate the targeting rule. Now before I get lynched, I do support player safety but football is a contact sport. If a Neckcar driver can walk away from flipping ten times at 200 mph, they can build a helmet that will prevent or at least severely limit concussions. The abomination called against LSU linebacker Devin White was superseded only by the one called in the Arkansas game in which two players were diving for a loose ball and one was called for targeting. Fortunately there was a replay official who understands the rules and said, no targeting

    2) Did I mention that I hate the targeting call.....Okay, Hats off to the BOILERMAKERS for abusing, confusing, misusing, contusing, defusing, refusing, bruising and cruising past the ohio state buckeyes. Only thing missing was somebody flying to Louisville and stepping on that lying Bobby Petrino's face

    3) Alabama will beat LSU as bad as they want to. Or worse. The corndogs do okay against mere mortals but that doesn't include Bama.

    4) I don't mind being wrong, especially if it's about Ohio st, TCU and Oregon losing. Only thing that is missing is getting to add Notre Dame to that list

    5) Would love to see Michigan and Clemson go head to head. It would be reminiscent of Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes games

    6) I don't really know what to say Hank except been there done that got the tee shirt.

    7) Michigan and Oklahoma both deserve to be in the playoff conversation. Any other year I'd advocate an eight team playoff but I'm not sure you could pick an allstar team from the 2-8 teams and beat the Tide

    8) Can we please quit talking about that fraud USC? and the Pac 10/12 in general?

    9) Houston has a good team and Ed Oliver will be one of the 1st 5 defensive players chosen

    10) Mississippi state's OC should be fired, black balled, and spend a few days on the rack. A one trick pony of the highest order. Makes Houston Dale Nutt look like the Einstein of play callers

    11) " Why is my chair on fire?" Gus Malzahn

    12) Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio st and Penn State will all lose at least one more game this season

    13) Kelly Bryant took an official visit to Arkansas this weekend. I personally don't see why we need a scrambling QB that can't throw the ball down the field. We've already got one of those. The only way he'll come if he's promised the starting job, I'd just as soon he went elsewhere

    14) Eddie, I won't pick your boys for an upset again until you buy that yankee's contract out. He's not only ruined Fitzgerald for this year but possibly for a shot at a pro career. You have to be able to throw the ball to make it in the bigs, ask Terrelle Pryor

    15) BTW, did I mention I hated the targeting rule

Don’t worry about me, QA. While I don’t like getting boat-raced, I have no illusions that the Wolfpack is more than a 2-3 loss team.

Yep, QA, but in spite of our f**ked up OC, coach, and qb, we've got a heckuva defense.....we held LSU to that one TD, which was a total Xmas gift from Fitzgerald in the first 2 mins. of the game, via his first of 5 interceptions.

And, I might send Bama some of that Powerball money, to release Jalen Hurts, and get him onboard over here.

While I agree that Bama is a great football team, I think I’d just vote that we play the rest of this season just to humor them. Playing the regular season games, after all, is what its all about. Not the playoffs, which really ain’t a playoff at all. But that’s another argument.
I predict before the season is over, even Bama has a good chance not have a nought in their loss column.

But I ain’t a Bama worshipper like some folks are around here.

You're in the same boat we are Eddie, you're wanting a scrambling QB that can't throw the ball. You've got to give Fitzgerald some receivers that get separation to throw to as well as some decent passing schemes. Neither of our coaches are doing that

I’m definitely not an Alabama worshipper, but if they don’t lose at LSU throw weekend, I don’t see Miss. State, The Citadel or Auburn dong the job. Even if they lose the SEC championship game, they’ll still make the playoff.
