    Slippery coons.....funny as heck....

I been having trouble with coons climbing up the legs of my deer feeder, and tearing up the wire varmint cage and then the spinner mechanism.
I fixed their onery butts with a coat of vaseline on the feeder legs.
Watching them, this morning, is hilarious. They got so pissed off, they just walked around, and squealed, then left.

I did something similar to the squirrels that were climbing up a metal pole to get into a bird feeder. I sprayed Pam on the pole and then had a great time watching them try to climb the pole.

Well, yeah, you’re right, Ddog...but in MS, the law says feeders have to a minimum of 100 yds. from your deer stand.....but to be on the safe side of the law, I put mine out at over 150 yds., and my phone camera is pretty much useless at that distance. I was watching them with my binocs.

Are you sure it wasn't because you couldn't get a picture without one of your stands being shown in it?

Reminds me of the County Fair I went to as a kid. They had a greased pole with a $100 bill attached to the top. You'd buy a ticket for each attempt and whomever could get to the top and grab the hundie, got to keep it. They also had a greased pig you'd try to catch with some similar prize if you could hold onto it. I doubt they still have that one as I'm sure it would upset the animal rights people these days.

At the Prison Rodeo in McAlester OK they used to have a deal cLled Money the Hard Way. They would put a c note in a tobacco sack and tie it to the horn of a big ass brahma bull and turn it loose into the arena with about a hundred cons. My daywould slap his leg and laugh his ass off. Those effers were flying ever which way.
I’m not sure what sensibilities it offends today but it was sure a hoot back then.

Ha ha! Funny! One of the comments below the video infers they are no longer done, but there is interest in resurrecting the event.

Ummmm, one thing comes to mind though. I assume the taxpayers pick up the doctor bills.
