    Hey Muddy!

I’ll bet its muddy! Keep your powder dry brother! It looks like you’re getting a little rain.

We're under our first Blizzard Warning in about 5 years, 4-5" of snow and 60 mph winds.
May finally get to use my new generator.
I much prefer a heavy snow vs. 6" of rain. Looking at those pictures of flooding you got to feel totally helpless.
Good Luck to all those affected.
The older I get, the better I was. I also forget my password and have to have Len reset it for me

Yep, 11.25 inches in the past 72 hours, to be exact.....epic, record-setting flooding is happening down here.....we are pretty lucky, so far however, since our home is on good elevation.....the problem is all of the roads are under about 2 feet of flood water.....we barely got our vehicles moved to higher ground before it got too deep to traverse.....I left my truck here at the house, just in case of a real emergency, since it's a 4x4 and can handle the deep-water trip out, but don't wanna ruin my brakes.....we're using my hunting Tracker vehicle with the balloon tires to go in and out for the other trips of bare necessity.....otherwise, we're sitting here at home, watching a lot of Gunsmoke, Andy Griffith, Sportsman Channel, and college basketball.....and, we're eating really well, too, on mudbugs, venison, and veggies outta the freezer.....oh yeah, and fresh boudin sausage and boudin balls, I picked up in Krotz Springs, Loozana, this week.
    Thanks for asking !!!

We had over an inch of rain last night and it’s still coming down this morning. I wish it could have been 10 degrees colder as it would have been a nice snow fall.

Wish I had better news from up here, Muddy. I live on the Iowa River.. about 5 miles above where it dumps into the Miss. We just got 2" of rain on frozen ground. River came up three feet last night. That puts us at flood stage and looks like a couple more feet to come (I personally think that's conservative). Mississippi will hit flood stage Tuesday. They are already calling for major flooding through April. So, we're sending more your way with a lot of snow and run off above us.. Good luck and stay dry.

If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.
