Sitting on the deck or lanai as they call it here in Kona with a belly full of Hawaiian bbq watching the gorgeous sunset, listening to the surf and sipping a big glass of red wine. Ahhhhhh!
Arrived last Monday after a long, uncomfortable flight (I hate flying) only to find that they had left our luggage back in Vancouver. Oh well, it did show up a couple of days later so all is well.
Been doing the touristy stuff of course and enjoying the laid back atmosphere here. High point so far was a small plane trip around the island. Pilot was doing wingstands over the volcano craters so we could all get a good view. Man, that is impressive scenery!
This is our first trip the Hawaiian Islands and probably not the last.
