    25 years old

25 years ago #1 son graduated from college and got his first teaching job.
First thing he wanted was a new car to replace his old college ride.
We went to the local Jeep dealer and ended up with this. He's had it ever since.
Stores it next to my Bimmer in the winter and we get them out in the spring.
Has about 75K on it. I don't think the doors or canvas top have been on in over 20 years, they're stored in the attic of his garage.
His two little girls thinks it's the neatest car and just love riding in the back.
Still looks goods, still all original.
The older I get, the better I was. I also forget my password and have to have Len reset it for me

I can see the ad now ... Nice, clean, one-owner, never in salt.

Nice looking ride. Some would say a Jeep needs some scratches on it ... but I think he's like me ... if I get so much as a damn door ding, the first thing I think of is, it's time to trade it! I love a clean vehicle.

Although my personal driver has been a pick-up since 1981, some 4wd, some not, they stayed pristine. When I hunted, fished, camped, went off-road, etc, I always had a second vehicle dedicated for that purpose. Those have included 2 Suburbans, a Bronco, a Toyota p/u, 2 Blazers, a Jeep Cherokee and a Jeep Wagoneer. (I may have forgotten something, don't know) All were 4WD. Dents, dings, dirt and scratches were a right of passage on those vehicles.

We rented a Wrangler for a couple of our vacations in Kauai. They’re a blast to drive around with the top open and the radio on.
