    Soccer Knowerabouters

Why is it bad form to beat a bad team by a big score. Were the Amuricans supposed to play with one teat tied behind their backs at a certain point?

Will this lead to a pho tariff?

I think the France thing would be obvious, now if we were on the receiving end of a beat down, nobody would say anything.

I think a good old one finger salute is in order myself

Welp, I actually watched the match and didn’t have a major issue with the outcome. In a tournament where goal differential is one of the tie breakers for seeding past the group stage, the US had no choice but to lay it on them. France is also in the group and if we took it easy on Thailand, they might not and it could end up costing us. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the continued celebration of the individual goals.

To say Thailand was outmatched would be an understatement.

I am with you CD, I have no problem with the scoring but celebrating those goals like they were deciding goals was a little much.

It’s bad enough that nascar rears it’s ugly head occasionally, but if women’s soccer gains a foothold in here, I’ll have to find myself a classier bunch of deplorables to hang out with.

Civilizing this bunch is a full time job. At least kribbs understands good food and if he’s watching women soccer he’ll be perving out, which is the only viable reason to watch

I think I’d rather watch baseball than watch soccer .... and I’d rather stick a needle in my eye than watch baseball. Besides, I’d have trouble perving out on wimmins with thighs bigger than mine! 😳

Jim, you would have enjoyed watching them play the Thai team. Half of the Thai team looked some of those lady-boys you’re used to chasing around Phuket and Pattaya.

I always like to clear up any confusion: Anything played with a ball is a "game".. not a "sport". Any "race" that ends up where it started is simply going fast in circles.. If you had time to watch a ball game, you had time to go fishing..
If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.
