Another reason I loathe Ole Miss.....

Ole Miss is being destroyed from within, by these liberal professors, and their administration doesn't enough backbone to stand up to them.....it's common knowledge down here that Ole Miss is the place to go, if you are a whining liberal activist, pro-abortion, pro-lgbtq, anti-gun, or anything else supporting anti-Americanism or anti-Christianity.....JMHO.

Been my experience that those who espouse tolerance are usually the most intolerant.......... no matter where they’re from. Posthole is kind of an anomaly, although a little left leaning, he is reasonable, open minded and tolerant.

    For the most part.

QA, it’s called “mellowing with age”.....6 or 8 years ago Phole, like myself, was a raging maniac, when discussing any issues, which didn’t align with our own beliefs and opinions.....nowadays, we all seem to be able to discuss things here, without getting verbally abusive to one another.....okay, everyone, big group hug!!!

    ^^^^truth!

It might be age and maturity, who knows? For me, the realization was that what triggers me most is some asshole always telling me I’m wrong for what I believe. When I thought about it, it was the same thing I was doing! Then I just applied the Golden Rule: treat other folks the way you want them to treat you.
That doesn’t mean I can’t state what I think is right. But it does mean that if that’s different than what someone else is believing I have no right to tell them they’re wrong. Nor am I going to go to any great lengths to show some thick headed, redneck, conservative deplorable that I am right. Cause they ain’t gonna change their mind any more than I am. So its kind of like pissing in the wind.
And yes, I’m still hard headed.

But Muddy is right. And to think I learned this from the folks on Goodhunting!

Pick a bean. Stand your ground, man!

Speaking of, I made a pot of Anasazi beans the other day in the crock pot with a leftover hambone.

If you haven’t tried them you’re missing out. A little firmer than a pinto and tasty!

My local W-M has the huge, home-grown, green boiling peanuts, piled head-high in a huge bin, just as you enter the store.....there's usually a line of folks, waiting to fill their sacks.....right now, the growers are just starting to dig them, and the price is sorta high at $1.98 per pound.....prices will come down to about a dollar in a few weeks.....and, they're pretty good size, this year, too.

We have the bulk (green) p-nuts at our local Asian market. I don't remember the price, but they're VERY reasonable on their prices of most anything there. I prefer to buy them pre-cooked and just warm 'em up when I want 'em.

Yessir, I usually buy frozen Papa John's in the bag or Peanut Patch in the cans. They're (cans) handy to take along on our weekend trips as most all the hotels we stay at have microwaves.
