Last I heard the commish backed up the gm who spoke out about the Hong Kong riots. China, of course, reacted with their usual bs.

I actually never realized the nba was so big in China.

The NBA is HUGE in China. I had a buddy from mainland China who was visiting here last year and he had the tv locked on the NBA Channel (NBA TV?) the whole time he was here. I was talking about it with him and he was explaining how big it is over there, in fact, it's the most watched sport in China. (I assumed it would have been soccer for some reason)

Baseball ... you know .... "American as baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet" ... well, it's the most popular sport in Japan, but the MBA isn't a real big deal to them. Not even close to how the NBA has won the hearts of the Chinese.

The reach and power of the Chinese 'government' is frightening.

If you don't put up with it you might wind up somewhere unpleasant. They don't tolerate a lot of disagreement. Tiananmen and soon Hong Kong. World needs to wake up.

They don’t have the Second Amendment to effect change.
