Mystery Solved!
A couple years ago my grandson and I were fishing on a local lake and decided to take a break and do some beachcombing along the bank for fossils and such. I found this little one, about 1” X 1”, and thought it was a cool little bug wing fossil.
So today I posted it on an Oklahoma Artifact site I follow on FB and found out that it’s actually a part of a very old sea fan type animal, technically a colony of animals, that lived 350M years ago.
Every time I find something like this I think of old Solomon writing “there is no new thing under the sun”.
Look down once in a while when you’re out and about! You might see something that’ll make you go ‘huh’.
