I don't know who broke it but I just came from the kitchen and for certain sure it ain't fixed. I may call on my repairman Mr. B. King about 10:30 and get him to address the problem

In the meantime, I'll just sit here with a cup of coffee and contemplate the dilemma

That was a mofo of a storm.....it hit here at 3am, and the storm alerts blew up our cell phones with tornado warnings......so, we quickly dressed, and got into our storm shelter.....actually, there were three squall lines, and it took about 2 hrs. for everything to calm down enough to go back inside the house.....it rained 3.5” very quickly, and my yard looks like the Sea of Galilea.

Our neighbor at Chicot just called, and said the power is out at the lakehouse, so we're headed over there at noon to check on things.....he said the north end of the lake and Lake Village got hit pretty hard, but that area is about 4 miles from our place.....fingers are crossed !!!

We had some boomers overnight too. Pretty unusual for Northern Indiana in mid-January. It’s in the mid-50’s now but the temps are supposed to drop through the day and be in the mid-30’s by this afternoon.
It’s been raining since yesterday afternoon and we’ve gotten about 1.25 inches so far. The rain is supposed to continue overnight and change into snow/ice depending on how the temp goes.

Squall lines in January. We’re lucky here. we got 2” here at my house and had storms but the cold front hit about an hour before daylight and dropped from the 50’s to the low 20’s. If that cold front had overrun that storm we’d be shoveling of picking up downed trees from a mjor ice storm. We got lucky!

Can’t believe the weather here the past few years.

I’m still trying to figure if P-hole got 2” of rain, or 4”. 😉

I think it’s gonna get nasty here. The temp has already dropped 20 degrees from this morning. It’s down to 37 and the precipitation is supposed to continue until 2 AM.

It got colder than a well digger’s butt here but the snow mostly missed us. A few places had 3” or so west of us but it melted pretty fast. Our soil temps are still in the 40+ range.

We haven’t had a real winter in like 5 years it seems.
