    Question for you smart guys.....

The Hiildebeast has admitted to having the "urge" to throw her name into the ring, and jump into the Demwit potus race.....seriously, just how day'um long does someone have to jump into the race for potus???

('course, I can't see her actually "jumping" too much for anything, 'cept maybe some of Thump's KFC or a couple of Big Macs. )

I’ve been wondering the same Muddy. I thought they had to be nominated through primaries and caucuses. Evidently not. I “think” they can also be nominated by the party at the (Democratic) National Convention, but I’m not sure about that. I’d think, with the lousy candidates they have running so far, she’d be the Democratic nominees sweetheart. FYI-I’d love to see her run. My question is, if they nominate Billary, could Bernie switch parties and run as an independent? Weirdos like Bernie would dilute her vote and Trump would surely win again. I’d want her to run just so I could witness the total meltdown when she loses. My guess is, they’d have to haul her off in a straight jacket and have her committed!

I believe each state has filing deadlines in order to be placed on the ballot.

She’s probably got a little time to step in, but I’d guess that window is closing quickly.

If she does run, all I can say is She’s a glutton for punishment.
She’s a has been for the Democratic party, but I’m not sure anyone has said it out loud, for fear of committing suicide.

Even if she fore-goes most of the primaries, voters could still write-in her name, correct???.....absolutely nothing would surprise me from those Demwits.

There is a lot of bad information about this out there. Write-ins are not as easy and straightforward as most people think.

First of all, 9 states do not allow write-ins at all. They are Nevada, New Mexico, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Hawaii.

But 41 states plus the District of Columbia do allow write-ins. However, in 34 of those states, the candidate themselves must file paperwork in advance of the election, registering as a candidate and (in the case of many states in a presidential election) submitting a slate of electors who would vote for them if they won that state’s electoral vote. If the candidate fails to fulfill these requirements, then write-in votes will not be counted as official votes in those states.

So while most states technically “allow” write-ins, most of the time you cannot just write whatever name you want and think it will count. If you want to vote for say, Mike Pence instead of Donald Trump, or Bernie Sanders instead of Hillary Clinton, and write their names in, in the vast majority of states those votes will not count, since neither candidate registered as a write-in in any state, and the deadlines have passed.

In seven states, there are no restrictions on write-ins, and you can write in any name you want. They are: Oregon, Iowa, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont.

That would be considered a File 13 (sometimes referred to as a "Round-File") vote.

    (nice fishy)

BTW, if you'd crawled out of bed earlier, say a little after 2am, you could'a posted at 02020202022020.

I don’t think Barry allows captain around his boat, something about cone violations and overdue debts.
