    On a lighter note

My son had been bugging me about taking him fishing. Honestly, I haven’t fished hardly at all since my Dad died 20 years ago. In fact all or my poles have line on them that is so old that the line is so brittle it almost crumbles.

He has his own cheap Shakespeare rod and reel so we went down to the marina where we keep our boat to give it a try and see if we could pick some off the the beds.

He caught a small perch, several small bluegill, (I’m from Indiana and that’s what they are called here. You Southern boys call them bream), and two largemouth bass. One was about 10 inches and the other was right at the legal size of 14 inches.

He already knows how to longarm them for the photos too.

If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.
