    Nothing like the first mess of corn of the season.....and, it looks like it's gonna be a bumper crop, in spite of those day'um 'coons.

    One of the best things about summer is the fresh veggies. My lunch was speckled butter beans, greens, cornbread, homemade creamed corn, sliced onion and fresh cantaloupe.

    wonder what the rich folks ate cause it sure couldn't have been any better
