When this kid's Dad was about 12, he knocked on my door one day and he and his buddy asked me for a drink of water. They came in and drank like camels and then they were off again on their bicycles. I can't remember if I called Keith or not, I think I did. but anyway, I think he got his little butt chewed good when he got home as he was about four miles and one very dangerous highway from home when he got to my house. and now here is that skinny little knock kneed kid's son playing for Owasso High School as a senior and a pretty dang good prospect from the sound of it.
It does take a village. Just not in the way some folks think it does.
