    Fire

Got word, around 5:30 pm yesterday, power was out at the property.
Checked the cameras and they were all down.

After calling around, found out a storm blew a tree onto the power lines and started a fire.
The wildfire is/was 2 miles from the property.
Haven’t heard if they got the fire out yet, but the power is back on. All cameras booted up and running.

    That’s getting way to close!!
Everything is very dry over there right now.

    Dodged a big one!!!

If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.

It’s amazing how small communities help and how word of mouth can go miles!!! Lol

The power went down, I check power company site to see why.

Then I called neighbor, who’s son is volunteer fire fighter.
She told me where the fire was located and she heard ,on the Emergency radio, the crew called for water.
The power lines started a fire.

So I sat and waited to see when the power was going to come back on.

11:11 pm the power came on and all cameras booted up!!!

Yeahhhh!!! Now what about the fire?

I followed several fire map sites to get info on the fire.
Then I contacted another friend, who’s actually in Iowa right now, to let her know it was close to her property.

Her husband works for Armco oil in Saudi Arabia and when she talked to her husband , that evening on the phone, he called another neighbor close to the fire zone.

That neighbor is also working our alfalfa field too.

Anyways that neighbor tells her husband the fire was put out last night.

Then he asked:” How the heck did you know about the fire here and you’re in Saudi?” Lol
He told him that I told his wife!!
Then he asked:” How the heck did she know about the fire, when she’s on the west side of the mountains?” Lol

Word of mouth can go all the way around the world and I’m a pretty good investigator!!! Rotflmbo
