    What Truly Makes Me Happy

I love the outdoors, but I love my family more than anything else. My FIL passed away last week and we had his memorial last Friday. It wasn't a sad occasion. He fought a long hard battle with cancer and died at age 92. His mind was 100% up until his last second on the planet. We should all be so lucky. We celebrated his life and we were able to see a lot of family we haven't seen since Covid started. Four of my six children were able to attend, and we were able to get this photo. I love this crew! We aren't perfect but we all love each other and get along well. The only thing that would have made it any better is if my other two kids could have been there.

You are so right on all counts and I hope his memory is a blessing to you and your family.

Priceless. You're a good man Troy, but I'll have to admit, the kids don't know how lucky they are that their mom's genes were obviously the predominant factor affecting their appearance.

You know, with a pony tail and a scruffier beard and bib overalls, he could pass for the 3rd cousin of a certain Oklahoman we all know

I was going to go for that look once I retired, but my hair fell out before I got the chance.
