NCAA president Mark Emmert asks for 5 key elements in federal NIL law:
    1 - Uniform national model
2 - Support of Title IX
    3 - Pre-emption of state laws
    4 - Maintain athletes' non-employment status
5 - "Limited safe harbor protection" from litigation for schools.

Notice that Emmert didn’t ask for limits on what coaches and administrators can make. Nor did he ask for “guardrails” on the NCAA in selling athletes for billions. He just asks for help in limiting what athletes can be allowed.

He also did not recommend limits on the salaries of men’s college basketball television analysts. But why let the hypocritical fact of your salary, received from profits made within in the current “collegiate model”, interfere with your narrative.

As long as fans buy tickets and $12 beers people associated with it will facilitate the flow of money to the purse and get their own take. Coaches, vendors, the whole deal. We embrace it with our (unearned) support and yet complain about how warped a version of reality the sports economy is. Its time to realize that the billions associated with college sports are what we want.
