Fishin' with the wife (Vintage gear, too)

On a recent trip through the mountains of West Virginia, she wanted to fish. She loves to fish just hasn't had the time or opportunity in a while.
*I* landed several nice large mouth bass but she couldn't seem to get my phone to work for photos...

At one point, she had a bluegill that was almost the size of a dinner plate. Dark purple-ish color, about 1 1/2 " thick across his back. I said "Hang on! Thats a good one. Let me get a picture". She replies "Oh, was that one special? I let him go already..."

Nice.. I have one of the old 300s on the shelf.. Had two - but a young friend wanted me to restore his granddad's rod to put on the wall.. it looked like it needed a reel..
If you turn a dog loose to hunt – you’d better to be ready to deal with what he trees.

Speaking of fishing, Thump, I think I found your rod and reel.
