Two old ‘Nam vet geezers …

…. who haven’t seen each other in 45 years! (He cheated and stood on a stool) It was a great reunion and Lynn heard PLENTY of stories she’d never heard before!

We’ve been close buddies since ‘72, but have never had a chance to get together since shipping out in ‘75. He ended up staying in for 20 years.

That’s awesome, Jim. That’s a lot of catching up. And I know what a talker you are. Poor guy went home with sore ears I bet.

Ha ha ha! We just had to laugh about being old farts (and looking the part). I used to call him a Hippie back in the day, as he had long hair parted down the middle and wore little tinted "granny glasses" (John Lennon style and not even close to military issue!). We had a lot of leeway as we were actually Intel and didn't really have to follow the rules as closely as Regular Army.

We both lived in the village with the locals and our "uniform of the day" was generally a sarong and flip-flops (nothing more).
