    Saw this on a prehistoric artifact site I follow. Sounded like it was up your alley. I might try it myownself, just for grins.
    Not sure how they figured this out.

    These came off a big slew footed doe I killed a few years back. Do you think they'd work?

    I've made and fished with the other type of bone hook. The pointy on both ends and string in the middle kind. A guy has to find really stupid carp to make it work, but we did catch a few... Not my pic but the same style.

    Speaking of primitive... "Practice" darts for the atlatl so rookies can fling 'em to their heart's desire. Rubber coated wire rods with duct tape fletching.
