Brings back a memory of going to the drive-in to see To Sir With Love. 1967 in Vicksburg, Mississippi with a cute little blond named Vicki R. A VERY memorable night that will be forever engrained in my ol' noggin' .... ifyouknowwhatImeanandIthinkthatyoudo!

And 50+ years of deep regret for her I am sure.

He gave some pretty gripping performances, or at least that was my impression when I first saw him back in my younger days.

My favorite Poitier film has always been Red Ball Express. Mainly because one of my uncles served in WWII in France working in it. He had some interesting stories about that time.
