    Davos

So let me get this straight - a whole bunch of the self-proclaimed 'elites' are meeting in Davos, Switzerland (one of the most expensive places in the world) after having flown in on a private multi-million $$$ jet or helicopter and being whisked around in chauffer driven limos (burning untold gallons of that criminal product called fossil fuel) to top of the line residences or hotels, eating and drinking the best that world has to offer so they can meet and decide whether Joe and Jane Paycheck will be allowed to drive their pickup to the store looking for non-existent baby formula.

    Did I get that right?

Why do we put up with this?

"Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Gandhi

The people in Davos know the truth of this quote. They aren't looking for the way to minimize climate change... or deal with a growing energy supply problem at the same time which makes it orders of magnitude more difficult to do so.

They are looking for way to maintain their way of life thru what they see as a very difficult time to come. Without giving anything up.

Johnny I think you are right in line with most people. The appetite for listening to lectures about carbon footprint from guys owning private jets and half billion USD yachts is non-existent right now.

They're not going to come to their senses or change. Best to ignore them. We've bigger problems to deal with.

"They are looking for way to maintain their way of life thru what they see as a very difficult time to come. Without giving anything up." Hit the proverbial nail on the head. Exactly right. They may not be prepared, however, for the inevitable "Let them eat cake." moment that is bound to come.
