…. we stopped in Palm Springs for lunch yesterday. It was an early lunch, but late enough to be a tad toasty …. but it was a “dry heat”!

Just walked in the door about 30-mins ago. Had to do a head count to see if all the cats were still here …. and they were, dang it!

Just checked the odometer and see we clocked 5400 miles. Looks like I averaged 900 miles per day driving. Hey, this old truck driver still has it.

This wasn’t really a vacation as it was to plan (last month) and attend (this month) Lynn’s brother’s funeral … and visit family of course. Since the airlines are such a mess, we took the car both times …. to the tune of 11,000 miles! (2 trips in a month) The big motorhome trip is next month and will probably take 1-1/2 to 2 months. Gonna start off in N. Iowa for the motor home mods, then head up to walk across the (ankle deep) Mississippi River in Northern Minnesota, then head south to New Orleans, then over to Houston to visit family before heading home. We’re going to take time to see any sights we’re interested in along the way and only plan to drive maybe 150 miles/day. More time camping than driving.
