I just read an article about Toyota coming out with a new retro version of the Land Cruiser. They will have the super high bucks, modern version as well as a retro-looking version with more of the tough, off-road capabilities of the old 60's Land Cruiser. The retro version also has different front-end sheet metal to more resemble the old, boxier version.

But, as I was eyeballing the features of the lower-priced, retro version, I noticed the interior would be made from "vegan leather"! WTF izzat? Leather from a non-carnivirous cow? I didn't know there was any other kind. I had to look it up. It's nothing more than a new word for fake leather ... like the one's in the title to this post. I guess being able to say your new car is upholstered with VEGAN LEATHER will make them more acceptable to the oddballs out there and help expand Toyota's customer base. Where is this goofy bullshit gonna end?
