    My mom was big into making Succotash when we were kids. I hated it then and just tolerate it now to be polite if it's served at a friend's house (for example). Lynn loves it, but she's weird like you.

    I’ve never been able to like any “squash like” veggie, boiled. Squash, zucchini, okra, etc. now FRIED squash and FRIED okra, are a couple of my favorites. Go figure. Same with zucchini. Fried zucchini sticks, that sort of thing, I like. I like sliced tomatoes, but not boiled unless smurshed up and incorporated into spaghetti sauce, etc. I put boiled squash and raw oysters into the same food group as snot balls.
