    CFB week 14

    1) Memphis at Tulane: The Greenies are still in the playoff hunt but they're gonna need a win here and some help from Oregon st. I would call upset if it was in Memphis but it ain't so I'll say Tulane 34-28

    2) Oregon State at Boise State: The Fighting Beavers is a name that just doesn't strike fear into the heart of opponents and certainly not in Boise with their ugly field. The Broncs trample the Ducks 35-20 on their way to the playoffs

    3) Mississippi State at Ole Miss: Edds boys couldn't have picked a worse week to play this game but it is rivalry week so I'll go Rebs 42-30

    4) Georgia Tech at Georgia: the Wreck is up a little and The Dawgs are down a bit. The SEC is a mess and I think it'll get even messier. I'm picking Tech in the upset 29-28

    5) Nebraska at Iowa: Two teams that have had somewhat disappointing seasons and are headed for some obscure mid level bowl doesn't spark a lot of excitement and I'm not sure these teams are really a rivalry so I'm gonna say the Corn-growers over the Cornshuckers 26-21

    6) Kansas at Baylor: The Babbletist have quietly put together a pretty good season after a dismal start but the RockChalkers are smoking hot right now and shooting for bowl eligibility. Kansas 31-26

    7) Michigan at Ohio State: Retribution time for the Wolverines, they'll put up a pretty good tussle ....for a while. Bucky prevails 34-17

    8) South Carolina at Clemson: An impressive win over Clemson would really be a big shot in the playoff resume for the Gamecocks but I don't think they'll get it, I look for a low scoring squeaker instead. Gamecocks 27-24

    9) Tennessee at Vanderbilt: Not sure Vandy has quite enough horses, close but no seegar. The Vols keep their playoff hopes alive 28-23

    10) West Virginia at Texas Tech: I don't look for any couches being burned in Morganstown this weekend. Tech 38-28

    11) Arkansas at Missouri: The hogs have preformed just adequately enough to guarantee another season of underachievement with Pittman. To be perfectly honest, win or lose I really don't care anymore. Mizzou 38-16

    12) Auburn at Alabama: After last week this game takes on a whole new level of interest. Ordinarily I'm a bandwagon Bama fan but with Saban gone I hope that Auburn beats them like a rented mule. I doubt it happens. Tide in a close one 24-20

    13) Miami at Syracuse: Not terribly impressed by either one of these teams despite their records. Miami 33-20

    14) NC State at North Carolina: I visualize two punch drunk fighter toe to toe missing more punches than they're connecting. The Wolfpack needs this game more than the Tarholes. Mack needs to give it up. State 28-20

    15) Notre Dame at USC: This used to be one of the most anticipated games of the year, now just another blowout. Irish 38-14

    16) Florida at Florida State: Who have thunk it, our little Billy Napier all grown up and going bowling. Gators have a chance to end up 7-5 and a possible contract extension for Billy boy. Chomp Chomp 31-16 Gators

    17) Oklahoma at LSU: Two teams evenly matched, Sooners have a little strut in their step and suddenly Death Valley doesn't look as intimidating. Defense travels and I'm picking the Sooners 30-24

    18) Purdue at Indiana: In any other year DD would be all over this one but unfortunately this ain't any other year. Hoosier your daddy 38-17

    19) Kansas State at Iowa State: All I want here is whoever knocks Colorado out of the Big 12 championship to win. Cyclones 30-27

    20) Texas at Texas A&M: I hate everything Aggie in every sport and I hope Texas tears them a new one high wide and handsome. Probably be close however. Longhorns 27-24

    21) Virginia at Virginia Tech: Gotta go with the home team here....Hokies 33-23

QA, in case you haven't heard, ole pizz has some injuries, which "may possibly" keep some key players sidelined for this game....Dart--Harris--Pegues--Diggs--Amos.
However, their back-up QB, Austin Simmons, is pretty darned good in his own right.
We will more than likely lose the game, but I don't think we will get blown out.....big rivalry game.

I think you’re right on the Wolfpack and the Hokies. Both teams need these wins to salvage disappointing seasons. From your lips to God’s ears on the Georgia upset. I think Auburn has a better chance at beating Bama though. I’ll take either upset and call it a good weekend thing as that’s what my CFB season has been reduced to. Anarchy and chaos now!

OSU is in a bad situation with Mike Gundy. It would cost them more than they’re willing to pay to fire him it appears. We’ll see now that their season is over. December is a big recruiting month so I’d expect something soon if they have the cojones to do it.

Gundy is old school (like me), he hates the portal and the NIL (like me). Unless he can adapt fast quick and in a hurry then look for more of the same next year and his seat will be hotter than hot. I would had thought that sugar daddy Boone T would have left plenty of money to pass around

After watching almost a full season of SEC football now, one thing I can say for sure is SEC refs don’t pay much much mind to holding and DPI. Until they do. And I thought Big 12 officials sucked. They didn’t throw last night’s game, but they so obviously officiate like basketball refs. They call stuff differently depending on the intensity of the moment.

I'm not so sure it's the intensity of the moment as it is the intensity of the phone call from SEC headquarters

It had to be a good game if it made me listen to Jesse Palmer and Tessatore for that many hours. I think if I heard them say that a win was a lock for Georgia in the playoff one more time I may have put a shoe through my tv screen.

Which brings up two questions: 1. How many three loss teams were you expecting to see in the new playoffsystem?
    b. Won’t it be cool ifthe finals comes down to who wins a two point conversion contest?

There is no joy in Fayetteville we're mired in mediocrity at best. The powers that be have no interest in doing what is needed to have a successful football program. Hiring a lifetime position coach and rewarding him with an extension for a three win season says all there is to say. The depth of my apathy is indescribable. I don't see any difference between 6-6 and 0-12. I don't think a ten win season would stir me anymore, I simply don't give a shirt. On top of that our AD has thrown the fan-base under the bus by saying if we don't care enough as fans to donate to the NIL then we'll never be successful. Piss upon them all, the almighty dollar has taken something that was good and ruined it
