Question for boat/pontoon owners....

When servicing and test-running my Suntracker pontoon boat, this past weekend, I noticed the Merc. motor was somewhat slow to respond, while turning the steering wheel.

It has a hydraulic steering system....not a direct steering cable....I can't find an oil reservoir to check the fluid level....nor, do I detect any leaks, anywhere along the hydraulic hoses or fittings.

The previous owner did not have a service manual, and I've scoured the web, trying to find an owners/operators manual, with no luck at all.

Any help from the GH brain-trust???

Is it a Sea Star steering system?

Sounds like a loose nut between the seat and steering wheel.... Just sayin'
