    A Bit Scared

    http://www.miamiherald.com/2013/06/1...ngs-burns.html

This is five miles from my daughter's house in Colorado Springs. It's headed away from her house now, but several houses are gone up in smoke. And she texted and said do not call, phone lines are supposed to remain open.

She says she is fine.........but this is CLOSE........

Holy crap, Bucky. Not sure I could handle my daughter being anywhere near that sort of thing. I'm SO not ready to let my kids grow up and they're looking at colleges now
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.

Hope everything goes away from her.

Very scary. Positive thoughts and prayers!!

Getting worse. No texts from her in a while.

Worse, daughter #1 is scheduled to fly out there to see her sister tomorrow morning at 6:00 from Charlotte. Haven't heard from either of them. Oldest grandson is 20 today, and can't reach him.

    mercy me.

I hope she lives North or west of the area. Sounds like it is making a hard run to the Southeast...

on phone with her now. She is about 4 miles southwest of the southern most part of the fire. If you map it, she is in Briargate, just east of I-25, and Black Forest is a few miles NE of her. Winds are mostly away from her, but lately they've swirled. Today is going to be bad. Weather awful for fires, and CSFP is stretched thin. And apparently daughter #1 is on flight there now, so I have to worry about 7 people now, not just 5............

    This ain't good.
