Are they still making this stuff?
I bought some years ago, but I have not seen it in these parts since then.
I Googled it, and the best I could find was somebody's recipe for making it.

I don't think so.
This is the best. Healthier, too.....

Looks like they only have one rub. Their Championship Seasoning. Izzazt the stuff?

Yes. I get it in the Big Tub!! I put NOTHING else on meat when I grill or smoke........just that.
They have marinade too, and BBQ sauce.

This place has it. HEad country is awesome stuff. I think this particular one is better on chicken.

Thanks Posthole. However, like most .22 ammo, their website lists this stuff as "Currently not available".
I'm tellin' youse dufes ... I may not cook, but I sure like to EAT and this is my all-time favorite seasoning! I learned about it from Tony (Gator) many years ago and have never looked back. (he used it when he fried gator meat)
They have all sorts of seasonings and rubs, but I like this one so much (it's KILLER on baked chicken) that I never even tried their other stuff.
We get the monster size at Sam's ... but I would assume Wallyworld and major grocery chains carry it also (probably a smaller container).
Here's their website: http://evergladesseasoning.com/shop/
Niner, here's the best I can come up with, and its a link that gives the recipes for a couple of different Oklahoma Joe's rubs. Looks like they've stopped making it. I know the last couple of batches I ordered were a little lumpy and looked like they'd been boxed up somewhere for a long time.

Oh, and I've been using a combo of Montreal Chicken seasoning and Hank's Herbs of Provence on my chicken the last few times I did chicken on the smoker or the grill and it came out larrupin.

Montreal chicken seasoning is really good. If I'm looking for a quick win, toss some wings in a bag with that stuff and grill 'em on extreme high for a few... BAM
I may have to get some of that Head Country you guys go on and on about. It's a good dry rub for pork roasts?
If we all threw our problems in a pile, and you saw everyone else's problems-- you'd take yours back.
Cook up some wings ... it don't matter .. fry 'em or grill 'em ... throw 'em into a bowl with a lid, dump in a bottle of Tiger Sauce, shake 'em up and EAT!
(youse guys need to start listening to an "end user" for opinions on what's GOOD!)
Len, I use Head country mainly on pork. Its great as a rib rub all on it's own. Good on brisket too. I haven't tried it on a butt but I'll bet it would be good. To me, its not as good on chicken as it is on pork but that's like saying you had a bad sexual experience. The worst one I've had was wonderful.

I've been having good luck with Bad Byron's Butt Rub from the Kroger on my pork. I agree that the OK Joe's may have been discontinued.
I posted on another thread, but I tried a new chicken rub this weekend that was KILLER. It is called Bicentennial Rub from Penzeys Spices. It's a "yellow rub". I did a whole chicken this weekend and MAN was it goooooooooood.
Thump, I really like that Try Me Tiger Sauce. It's good on almost anything.

Seriously, how could somebody named Byron be 'bad'? That'd be like being known as 'Bad Skip' (sorry Herb) or 'Bad Winifred'.
I'll look for it next time I'm at the store, Niner.

Was just in the original Oklahoma Joe's in KC last Wednesday where we ended up buying several spice goodies including a value pack containing Oklahoma Joe's BBQ sauce & some French Fry seasoning, a container of the Butt Rub above, and another of the Head Country seasoning. Have yet to try them but am looking forward to it.
Montreal is awful (sorry, Len). I use less HC on chicken than on pork, but it's good on both. Don't see any need for anything else.
Head Country is sold in Braum's Ice Cream (and HB joint) stores, if you have them...........

Barry, you mentioned this stuff up in Post #10, and I almost let it slip by.
WHAT IS IT? Is this the stuff??

That's the stuff, Niner, and I called it Hank's because he's the one who told me about it. I really only have tried it on chicken, and that mainly in the beer butt or especially oven rotisserie recipes but it adds a really special flavor to a roasted chicken. that stuff and a little fresh rosemary are awesome on chicken.

If you want to try something on the grill with Herbs de Provence that folks will slap their mammy to get at (and is amazingly simple), try this:

If you're up to date on your Lipitor prescription, pair it up with this Gorgonzola Cream Sauce:
