Sort of a scary situation.....

At breakfast, my niece's 8 yr old son got a wad of biscuit stuck in his throat.

He eats TOO dayum fast and TOO dayum much!!!

Kid started gasping and turned a little blue.

Heimlich maneuver solved it but the kid wanted to go to the hospital 45 minutes away.

His momma can take him if she wants to but Im going fishing.

I told her to give him some warm milk.

Hes just fine and dandy. Wants to go tubing on the pontoon after I get back from running my yo-yos.

I know exactly what that looked like.

In my younger days, I was a Life Guard.

Was sitting at a restraunt, one day here in WA, and noticed a family put a 1-2 yr old in a high chair.
They handed the child a French fry.
I already knew what was coming, so kept watching the child.
Don't know why people continue to give French fries to small children.

Sure enough, it started chocking and the parents were oblivious as to what was happening.

I ran over, plucked the child out of the high chair, flipped her upside down and a nice hit with my hand.
Out popped the French fry and boy did that child start screaming.

Put her back in the high chair and suggested they take her go the doctor for a check up.

Went back to my table and finished eating.

They left, thanking me and when I went to pay, the restraunt owner comped my meal.

In today's world I probably would have gotten in trouble touching the child without permission!!'

Glad he's ok. Scary stuff, especially when they start turning blue.

Yep, she died after a serious car accident. Hey, she was young once. Don't remember much of what she looked like ... I only saw the top of her head.
